FAQ

Common questions we receive

Do I need a referral?

No! You’re welcome to schedule an appointment or just walk into our clinic.

How much does it cost for a hearing aid?

It depends on your individual hearing loss and your hearing needs. Your Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) covers a portion of your hearing aids. General prices start from $800 per ear and go up to $4,000 per ear (not including coverage provided from OHIP).

Do you accept insurance from work?

We accept insurance from your benefits, if there is coverage for hearing aids. We work with all third-party benefit providers.

If I am not happy with my hearing aids what are

my options?

We provide a 60-day trial so you can try your devices at home, work and beyond. This trial is free and no obligation, because we want to make sure the technology makes a meaningful difference in your life. If within that 60 days you are not happy, you can return your hearing aids for a full refund!

How much do you charge for a hearing test?

There’s no charge for a hearing test. We believe that hearing tests are necessary to understand your hearing and make the best decision for next steps.

How much does OHIP pay?

They pay $500 per ear every three years.

Do you accept other sources of funding?

We accept all sources of funding for hearing aids, including:

• Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)
• Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA)
• Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
• Ontario Works (OW)
• First Nations and Inuit Health (HNIH)

Please call us for more information about availability on funding and coverage.
